Thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. All of your kind words have touched me deeply.
I was hoping that Monday would come and go just like any other day and thank DoG my family agreed because I have nothing planned. I have the day off so just taking my Mom shopping and that's it. I will be spending some time in the evening just sitting out on my deck, looking out at the river contemplating my inevitable destiny and searching for a log named Larry. don't ask...it's a long story...
Oh yes, and I may have a Lemon Drop Martini to celebrate.
Phred: it's only must after 10pm here so legally I'm still 54.
I was born at 9am Aug 20th so I still have some hours to go before the double nickle settles in.
Let me apologize for not being on PT as much as I'd like to. I've missed so many birthdays and special events and I'm really sorry about that. I do think of you all very often. Life has thrown me a curve ball and I've had to "babysit" my Mom for months now. Again, long boring story that no one would be interested in. Also, W-O-R-K has taken a turn for the worse. I have a new boss who is really great and will do good things for the department but that also means no time for personal stuff during W-O-R-K hours.
Anyway thank you all for thoughts and well wishes. 55 is just hours away and I can hardly wait for retirement. I do look forward to growing old.....someday!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
