Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers
This may sound strange and completely random, but my Aunt had a cat who had the exact same thing from...dryer lint. She now has to scrub and completely clean the dryer with each and every use...oh, and supposedly a really good treatment strangely enough for this condition is bathing your kitty in oatmeal...? According to my aunt that is!![]()
Sometimes the weirdest things cause allergies. Funny, too, that you should mention that because when I was concerned that maybe I wasn't keeping the "cat area" (where they sleep, eat, etc.) clean enough, I became obsessive about cleaning and disinfecting everything. I didn't just vacuum the area, I got out every tool and vacuumed down inside the dryer door to get every last bit of lint. She still got the scabs, though. And oatmeal is very drying so I can see why your aunt would feel that way. It would dry up the scabs for sure. (Plus give Cgirl a snack for later.) I do have medicated shampoo that my vet gave me for her and it helped a lot but she still ended up needing that depo shot. But thanx for the input. I'll try anything to keep my fur posse healthy.
Blessings,
Mary

Glad to hear it's not cancer! Hopefully you can get to the bottom it quickly. Good luck!

I'm glad it's no cancer!!! Sure it may be difficult to find out what's causing the allergies, and it may take a lot of time... but I'm happy it's "just" that!

I'm so glad to hear that she doesn't have cancer.I've also stopped giving my cats treats and it's a little tough at first but they get used to it. Good luck.
