It was a little sticky after I washed it. It's scabbed over now and just feels rough. No larger yet no smaller. It acts like it's going to scab up and fall off, so we're just leaving it be other than rubbing neosporin on it from time to time.

Yeah, that's pretty much all I did. His fur has regrown in that spot, too... so hopefully, neither of us have anything to worry about.
