Jen, thanks for your input. Cookie's eye does appear to be better than it was last year (after prayer). At least it is beginning to turn yellow, like the other one. If I hold something up to the left of her left eye (the problematical one), she immediately responds. From this, I know that she can see somewhat with it.

The analysis of this meowing being a personality trait, appears to be the correct one. Now, last night, she was totally quiet -not a peep from her. When I got up this morning the weather had turned cooler. Perhaps this has something to do with it. Perhaps I do not give her enough attention. From yesterday she has began to curl up in my lap more often.
