Hey Gina - I've been following this but haven't checked in before. I am VERY glad to hear that you're feeling better, relieved that they stopped mentioning amputation (SCARY!!) and I hope you are home with your ark very soon!
Thank you Wolf_Q!
So glad to hear things are looking up and Gina is feeling better!

Thanks, folks - she's still got several days in the hospital, and we're all praying the blood thinners work and those clots in her right thigh dissolve for good - that's the most dangerous thing right now, and why she's not allowed to move. She said, when telling me that she's promised to follow the doctor's orders to the letter, that she does want to be able to walk normally again, and to run and to dance - all of these require a functional knee, of course.
And I did ask, Terry, if when they allowed her to go home they'd give her a walker this time, but they aren't even thinking that far ahead yet. I forgot to mention in my last post that her fever has gone down, probably why she feels much more alive today, but they are watching that closely, too.
Thanks for the uppydate, Karen! Its nice to have something POSITIVE happening for Gina. Great news!!
Hey, is Cathy (Taz_Zoee) with Gina now?

Seems like the Hospital didn't "think" the First time they discharged her!Originally Posted by Karen

Keep Getting WELL, Gina!!![]()
I didn't get a chance to ask about the "terp" situation today, but she was able to call me herself today, which is an improvement from yesterday. They seem to be managing communication okay at the moment, from what I can tell. It probably helps a lot that she's in much less pain and can concentrate more if she needs to write.
Many, many people these days seem to be discharged too quickly - in my humble opinion, and surely it costs the insurance company more when, like in Gina's case and countless others I know, the patient ends up needing to return in an emergency situation!

But apparently they dumped Gina off of the conveyor belt instead of gently letting her step off!!

Karen, thanks for the updates. I'm just seeing this thread, and I hope Gina continues to improve. This was starting to sound like a nightmare to go through.
(((hugs))))Gina, and many prayers are on their way to you, dear.
