Paws crossed that Sierra and I just might be able to make it this year.
My sister always has my niece's b-day party on the Sunday of Labor day weekend, but this year it's on Saturday!! Yippee!!

I'm not 100% sure I'll be there, but more like 75% sure!

If I come, I'll bring the (cans of) beans again and like last time.. any extra's go home with Phred!!

Just a side note to first timers driving to the park from the East.
Do NOT try to drive through Norwalk! You'll never get out of that little town!!

Hmmmm.. an 8 hr drive isn't THAT bad. Maybe I need to go out and get a dog to qualify to attend this thing?! Either that, or I'll bring Ms. Finae on a harness and leash. She's got personality plus and would probably boss all the pups around!

Will check out hotel rates too.

you don't need to bring a dog or a feline - altho we've had a couple visit
we're just glad to have you!
If I didn't have to work the holiday I'd offer you my couch
but I will be there on Sunday.

I don't mind staying at a hotel... not like I get to do it any other time unless it's with the teachers' union, lol, and now that I'm not part of the executive board, that's gone too... . Oh well, they were a hassle, lol. I'll stick to just hearing the gossip that goes on in our school instead of the entire district!

Any hotels anyone can recommend?? I'd prefer to stay under $80/night, but don't want to be in a flea infested motel!
