Digging!! Post 14- question

We mostly only have PetsMart's around here. What i have heard though is that it all depends on the individual's experience. They all go through the training the store provides of course, but some people have "it" and others don't.
(Also there was a huge boycott last year because PS banned certain breeds from their classes. I don't know if anything was ever done.)

Has anyone any suggestions on Petco's training classes. We just had one open up and this is pretty much my only option to get Chopper training unless it is one on one with a trainer and then he is not having the exposure to learning to listen around a lot of other people, pets and distractions. I was thinking about giving them a shot but wanted to see if I could get some feed back on them.

Oh that is so wonderful that you were able to make progress with Chopper!

Oh and he has gotten better with the digging. I just told him No digging, made him sit and praised him and played fetch. Of course a short time later he tried it again but after being told no digging he stopped. He does still try every night but only once or twice and then I guess he realizes this is not an acceptable thing and stops. Of course I will continue to work with him on this

Maybe I will just give it a shot. I noticed there are a couple other places here but they are usually private sessions, I think I would rather do it as a group just for him to have the experience. Maybe if they stink really bad I could throw a fit and get my money back I am not to incapable of training a hardheaded breed, I have two stubborn boxers at home and they both listen very well but this is a whole different stubborn so I would rather do it right than confuse poor Chooper. I think I will go in this weekend and speak with them.

Thanks . Last night there was no digging at me at all, of course our schedule was thrown off with Champ's abscess breaking open at 9 p.m.(under health thread). So tonight will be the real test.
