Donna I just Googled "Dead Lucky: Life after Death on Everest" and you're right, it is expensive, even used. The best price I found was on Amazon.com and even that is $57, plus $3.99 shipping, for a paperback! The problem is that the book was published in Australia, I think, therefore doesn't have a US presence. Amazon had 3 copies and one of them was "new" and it was $79!

I'll check my library for it, but I doubt I'm going to find it. As much as I would like to get it, I can't pay that much for a book!

www.chesslerbooks.com is IMO the best place worldwide for new and used books on mountaneering etc.
They offer Dead Lucky for 49.95 US$ which is not cheap either. They only charge 4 USD for shipping.

Donna...if you are looking for a great read..."Kite Runner". I overheard a conversation in an airport and bought it at Sam's Club for a few bucks.

Could not put it down and I rarely read fiction. And very timely with what is going on in the world today.

Donna....I can get it on Ebay here in Aust for $19.99 plus $23.50 postage to USA, thats $43.49 AUD....which is $37.36 US
