Thank you for the prayers everyone. My Aunt is to be released on Monday, and will fly home to Indiana on Tuesday. She is doing okay, but is very confused on where she is. The doctor told her yesterday that the tumor will grow back and she will not get better, but that she has time to make some plans. She apparently is at peace with that. I will go to see her when she is back in the state and is a little more stable. It is a 3 hour drive from me. She is a strong woman, and believes strongly that her God will help her through this. I know He will also. It is still hard.

Any prayers for a safe flight to Indiana would be appreciated. I know she and her children are sooooo stressed. Thank you all.

Donna - I am glad to hear she survived surgery.

As for the tumour growing back...you might want to check with a doctor - but I seem to recall that tumours grow much more slowly in elderly people.

How do you deal with it when your whole word comes crashing down around you.. when you have to leave everything you've come to know and love? How do you deal with the pain of a love lost, the feeling of betrayal? How do you deal with it when everything you see, everything you hear seems to carry some memory that brings pain. How do you go on when the person who was your whole world is suddenly cold and unfeeling, just wants you gone from their life, to be replaced by someone else. Everyone says 'there's better out there, there's happiness waiting.' And yet I don't think a shattered heart ever completely mends. Maybe I'm wrong and time will prove more a salve than I think it can.

I'm having such a rough time. Please spare a prayer for me if you can. Sometimes I think the pain will consume me.

I could have wrote these words myself. I feel your pain, Jess. I know your pain. From what I hear our hearts will never fully heal and it can take years to get through this. I constantly wonder how much longer I can hold on. How much longer I can wait for time to heal the wounds. The betrayal, the rejection. The feeling that your whole marriage was one big lie.

I will be praying for you, Jess. Somehow we have to find the strength to get through this.
