GARY, YOU ARE THE BEST DADDY IN THE WORLD TO YOUR BELOVED PETS. HOW MANY THREADS HAVE YOU READ IN REGARDS TO A PT'ER SAYING THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN KNOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THEIR CAT. QUITE A FEW!!!!!! LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID, CATS ARE SO WELL AT HIDING THEIR ILLNESS AND THE MINUTE YOU DO REALIZE THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG, YOU MAKE SURE THEY ARE SEEN BY A VET ASAP. SO I DON'T EVER WANT TO HEAR YOU KNOCKING YOURSELF DOWN LIKE THAT AGAIN!!!!!!

PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS ON THE WAY FOR PRECIOUS JOSEPH.

    {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} FOR YOU GARY.

Try not to worry too much. We have a couple of our cats that have lost almost all of their teeth. We didn't realize either they were having such major issues. They are fine and eat just fine without them. I sure hope all goes well!!
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors in cities, towns, and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, and sterilized by veterinarians. Kittens and tame cats are adopted into good homes. Healthy adult cats too wild to be adopted are returned to their familiar habitat under the lifelong care of volunteers

Amy said to tell you Joseph will do fine with no teeth, that cats are good at overcoming what we humans think are handicaps.

Gary, where would he be without you there to take him in and give him a home? He would be out on the streets, surely dying with this, but since he is with you, he has a chance.... He would not have this chance on the street!

....and listen.. None of us can check our babies teeth daily, watch each and every one to make sure they are eating, pooping and peeing regular. We can't take their temps every day, check for ear infections worms and such. Quit beating yourself up, you are a great Cat Dad!

((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to you my friend!!! PLEASE do not BLAME yourself!!! I will pray for your JJJ3 that the vets can remove his teeth and put him on some antibiotics for the infection and he will be home and good as new in a day or two!

Here's a good word to St. Francis to watch over Joseph in his surgery.

My grandmother's cat C.B. (for Clara Bow) had to have most of her teeth removed and did fine. She continued to catch birds (which were then released unharmed by her human) and lived to the age of 19.

And don't be upset over not recognizing that Joseph was ill! When Zerlina had her eye and respiratory infection, I only realized it when she a) missed her usual race-around-the-house-and-wrestle session with Don Juan and b) climbed up on my lap, something she RARELY does.

Prayers for Joseph and reassurances for you. It is quite easy to not realize a cat is sick. VERY EASY. And if you were truly such a bad guardian, Joseph would not be receiving treatment riht now. But he is in surgery and he will be fine with no teeth.
