For anyone with horses, who wants more out of the relationship

Wow I am very interested! That is so great, I just love it how humans and horses can bond through the littlest things like spending time with them. Horses are such amazing animals and my favorite animal. The exhibition starts here on monday and I can't wait! I love watching all the horses

I love watching the training programs by all of the different trainers. I love just sitting out in the pasture with the boys. I've had Austin for about 4 years now, and we have an amazing bond, when I go out there to ride, brush or feed him, I don't even have to go "catch" him, all I do is call his name and he comes. He usually listens better than my dog. Cisco and I don't share such a great bond, as I haven't really spent the time with him as he is my sisters horse. I think he trusts just about anybody though, as he follows you around and is so close to you it is annoying.

I hope your horses continue to progress, sounds like they are doing great so far!! Let us know how it goes!

I played the first "game" with each of them separately. The "friendly" game worked well with Gensana, he is finished with that portion in one session. Gent is a little more "hot" and I'll need to play that game with him a few more times before he is accepting of the rope and stick anywhere on his body. He was fine with everywhere except the insides of each of his hind legs. I can pick up his hind feet with my hands, but he is nervous of a stick and rope being there, so I will move more slowly with him. They are both different and have different needs, so while Gensana is ready to move on to the next game, Gent will spend a little more time on the first until he is completely at ease.
