During her recent checkup we told the vet of this behavior and they decided to check her for infection and kidney and bladder function. All normal and she is a very healthy dog.

We just can't seem to pin down the cause of the behavior. Nothing has changed except the bed, but if that was the cause I would have expected her to pee on it from the start. The only thing I have noticed in recent months is she tends to be more depressed looking at times. I'm not sure why, as her environment hasn't changed and she snaps right out of it when she gets interested in something.

We take her for walks regularly, she loves riding in the car and we take her everytime we can. She's a Home Depot freak and will kill to get a chance to go there (she's been evicted twice and still continues to infiltrate the store... can't quite figure out how she does this). So, we're wondering and wishing we can come up with an answer to the peeing problem.

Is your dog doing this while sleeping or relaxing? Sometimes they can have weak bladder muscles (incontinence) and there is medication for that. Also possibly seek a second opinion from another vet?

I hope this resolves very soon for you! No one likes to find pee anywhere in the house, especially on the bed!
