OH, Georgia....give yourself and that beautiful boy lots of gentle {{{{hugs}}}} from me.
Will the vet come to your house, by any chance - or is Mishi pretty good at the vet's?

From your lovely posts on Goldie, I know you will make the very most of the time left.
My thoughts are with you tonight.
Mishi is good at the vet (he's a very easy-going dude) - they're only across the street from where I live, which is why I go there. We also have the Rolls-Royce of carriers (Sherpa on wheels) for the kitties' transportation comfort. You should see the looks I get when I roll them down the street. Best investment I ever made when it comes to kitty care.Originally Posted by Catty1

Thanks, Phred, I needed that. I've asked Karen to move this thread to Cat Memorial. Not sure if I should post another thread there or not.
He had a peaceful passing and I'm glad I waited for the good vet to be there; she helped to make it special. He basically fell asleep in my arms and then we laid him on the table for the final drug to do its deed. He had tears in his eyes as he passed over the bridge so we both were crying at the end and I got to stay with him for a long time afterwards.
He's out of his pain and suffering. I know I did the right thing at the right time, but it's never easy
I took lots of pictures of him this morning before we left. The vet's office actually called to let me know she was running late, so we had an extra half or or so and I let Mitzi say her goodbyes too - she gave him a farewell sniff. It may be morbid, but I also took a pic of him with my cellphone after he was gone - he just looks very peaceful and relaxed.
Rest in peace my golden big boy - you will always have your velvet paws wrapped around my heart.![]()
