The ones in the upstairs are the worst having only two small 'pins' that keep the screen from falling out, and the downstairs windows are only slightly better, but all of them install from the outside, meaning that if someone or some kitty, pushes on them a bit they fall OUTSIDE. My old beat up screens at least fit into a track that was firmly in place! So while I can now have no winter drafts, can keep the heat of the summer out better, and can clean all my windows from the inside, I cannot trust these screens with my cats unless I am home to watch them. Even after all this installation stuff, I STILL can't leave windows open for my kitties when I'm gone and that ticks me off! Heck they don't even fit tight enough to keep those gnats and noseeums out! Pella windows might be good, but their screens stink!
