    SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!!!!

SO tiny and so cute. Glad she is doing well already!

It just came to me that maybe a name could be Teena, for the little bottle baby of Jen's that passed away. I don't recall if she was a tortie.

Looking forward to her growing and more cutie pics. You are an angel sent for this little one!

I like this idea! I will have to think up some variation on Teena.

OH MY GOODNESS! Thank you for the warning! That has to be the cuteste widdle one I have ever seen! Too precious! I love the little kink in the tail, although I hope it isn't something serious.

I can't wait to watch this one grow up! All of our babies on PT are gorgeous, but these many bottle babies are so precious!

Kater ... since you've already removed fleas from baby kitty - how do you treat a kitten that small for fleas so your other cat doesn't catch them? She is a little dinkster, isn't she just a little bigger than your hand.

Good question. She is really too young for anything beyond fleacombing. However, if she had a very serious infestation (to the point of anemia) there is probably something I could do about it.

Right now she is quarantined away from my other animals and I always wash my hands before and after handling her. I am still finding a few adult fleas because there is nothing preventing the eggs from hatching, so I will just have to continue with combing for now. It is a fairly effective method for her at this size and flea load, and I should be able to keep up with them.

When she is a bit older I will probably bathe her in a non-antibacterial citrus-based dishsoap (like Dawn) to kill the fleas, but since she cannot completely regulate her body temperature yet I do not want to risk chilling her.

She's doing well today. She's right on track with her eating and pooping! I'm excited to weigh her tonight and see how much she's gained.

Still working on a name to pay tribute to Jen's Teena.

    Teensie?

    Tiniwini?

Also - I seem to recall that tapeworm is caused by fleas or vice versa...anyway, when she can get defleaed that will really help!

SO glad she is eating and pooping! The things that thrill us on PT, huh?

What a doll! Looking forward to more good news.

Does she seem to recognize you, or your presence, as familiar?
