I'm really sorry to hear that. But, glad you told us. Don't give up, ok? You need our support and we'll be here for you. Listen to your doctor. You're going to be here at PT a long time. Don't even think otherwise.

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

You are in my prayers, Slick. I'm sorry that you are having to endure more testing, but you'll be in my prayers that the outcome is good. You are very brave and positive and I really respect that.

Slick, Thanks for sharing this with us. I know it must've been difficult since you're a very private person. I'm so sorry to hear this but I know that you're going to prove your doctor wrong and live a long full and happy life. You'll continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. (((HUGS)))

I've always thought of you as being this strong invincible woman... you are, right?

And if you're ever down here in FL I'd LOVE to take out on the boat to one of the islands or something.

Always have you in my thoughts, dear Slick.

This is the reason we have "re-checks", to catch things so they can be treated. Of course, the tests SUCK and of course the treatment SUCKS EVEN MORE, but we do what we gotta do!

My best wishes and biggest prayers will always be sent your way.

And don't forget to add to your list:

Well Malta is not much in rute from US to Australia, oh well!!

    Never say never huh!

Was following this thread but haven't posted yet.....was short of words.

All i can say is that Feb 2006 my cousin at age 21 was hospitalized to ITU (intensive treatment unit) she was suffering from meningitis (miningi Coco septiciemia) one of the killers! Never knew anything about it but got to know! She was totally not responding her heart was not working propperly, lung and kidney failure.......well her parents where adviced to start detaching!! Prepare funeral and let her GO. Wasn't that easly for sure. But she faught for her life and got it back! She is amazing she went through several amputations cos extremities where not receiving blood anymore. She survived amputation of all her fingers and both legs from knee down.

    Today?!!!!! A year after!

She walks, drives her car, writes and continues her Engineering course at University.................she is truly incredible!

She gives talks and to encourage other people who are going through a rough time. Everyone in Malta knows Amy!

She vants that with her prosteses now......she got taller

Let me attach you all a photo of this amazing lady! This pic was taken in June 2006, not long after she was able to get home after being in hospital fighting for her life for about 3 months.

Ten years is a long time, long enough for many advances to be made in medical field. Just don't add too many dare devil adventures to that list of things to do and you'll be around to take advantage of more cures than are even imagined at this date.

In the meantime, don't you hesitate to check in with your status. It can't hurt to have all these folks pulling for you or at you.
