Ube is also my favorite ice cream flavor, Susi! It's the best stuff on earth, and that shows what a smart girl you are! (Your people wouldn't happen to be from P.I., now would they?) Back when I was a little girl in the "old country," I was at my grandmother's place attending a birthday party and they were serving ube ice cream; someone spilled a dollop of it on the floor and one of the cats lost no time licking it off! Good stuff I tell ya!

Oh, Susi! What a terrific Father's Day story! From no, we are NOT adopting a cat ... to okay, but the cat is NOT sleeping in the bedroom ... to don't bother me while I'm functioning as the cat's pillow! A gal with a plan, just as kb2yjx and tatsxxx11 said. I'm curious about this ube ice cream. I don't think we get that in Chicago, but I hope you get to enjoy some on this, your special day!
