Well, she is hanging on. Thanks for asking, Jenn.

She did not eat AT ALL Saturday or Sunday morning. Sunday evening she ate about 2 tablespoons. I was going nuts, to say the least. She has lost MORE weight. I am thinking of asking the vet about an appetizer stimulant; something I never would have known without my time here on PT.

Then Monday she started eating a bit more and eats 3 or 4 times per day now. But very little and only canned. She sleeps a LOT.

She STILL hops up on the bathroom counter for sink water every morning! I guess somethings are just too important to stop for a little ailment.

She goes back to the vet on Friday (I think, have to check the calendar) for recheck on her blood work.

Prayers going out for Ruffles. I'm giving Mishi appetite stimulants and they're helping a lot. Give it a try.

Hopping on the sink for water is always a good sign. My Mishi is back to insisting on the bathtub faucet being for him only. In fact, he's started protesting when I use the shower - meowing at me to get out so he can use HIS shower. I know he's on the mend, finally, and I hope your Ruffles continue to improve too.

Just keep the faucet running and the food coming! Let's hope she is on the way to recovery now.

    Good report!

Yesterday - Friday, Ruffles returned to the vet for her blood work. She has gained half a pound during the week. The vet agreed to try an appetite stimulant for a week. She gets half a pill twice per day, about half an hour before feeding.

Last evening was the first one. Ruffles spends the night in a room by herself with lots of food out. SHE ATE! In one night she ate more than she's been eating in 3 days! So that is good.

Just got the phone call from the vet, blood work looks excellent! The white cell count came down a lot, so we will continue the Baytril another 7 days to keep fighting whatever it is. Thyroid test was fine so we continue at the same dose.

Thanks everyone for you kind thoughts and prayers!
