Oh do I feel DUMB!

Mom and I went out for groceries - she is such a great help to me right now! - and I went to get my mail on the way to the car.

There was a post office notice that I had a parcel to pick up.

So we went there - Mom waited in the car. The clerk brought out a parcel - she said it was 12 lbs, a bit over my lifting limit, so the dear gal carried to Mom's car for me!

I noted the name, and even on the way home from the grocery store....Mom left, and I was PMing to Karen....all the time wondering in my head, "Karen Watts....Mass....hmmm.....Karen...this is really embarrassing, I can't remember her screen name...hmmmm...."

Then halfway thru the PM it hit me! KAREN! THIS KAREN!!! MODERATOR KAREN!

SHEEEEESH!

So I will post pics when I get fresh batteries in my camera and open the box!

I AM a brunette....REALLY.....

We got ours today! Thank you Shelteez2!! The sogs had a blast opening the package and LOVED everything inside!

I have to tell you, our poor mail lady was NOT happy about having to deliver the package...she does NOT like dogs at all!! She seems hesitant to walk across the driveway when our 3 in inside their fence, and I outside with them.

Thismorning, I see her standing on the proch with a box, so I open the door. She says, can you put your dogs away, I don't want them jumping through the screen at me. Mind you we have a HEAVY screen door, glass on the bottom, screen does start until about 4 feet up. I said what? She said I don't want them coming at me. So I try to step out so I can shut the big door, but she is holding the screen closed.

I said they'll be fine and asked all 3 to sit, which they did, and didn't move. So she is just standing there, not saying anything. I'm ready to shut the door, let her finish what she is doing and walk away, cause she obviously doesn't want me opening the door and taking the package from her...or so I think. After a minute she says, I need you to sign this. Oh, sorry, I didn't know what you were doing. So I open the door, (not a dog moved), go out sign and take the package in. And not one of the dogs busted through the door and attacked her!

I know I should be more understanding...she probablly had a very traumatic experience with dogs, and I'm sure delivering mail she has probablly dealt with some poorly trained animals, but come on...3 dogs sitting potilety at the door, smiling, wagging their tails? Maybe they will help her just a bit to not assume every dog will eat her!

Can't wait for photos! Sorry your mail lady is afraid of dogs. We're lucky that our local mail deliverer's and UPS guy love dogs. Chipper gave the UPS man tons of kisses.

Cincy knows and loves the UPS guy!! If I am home when the truck comes (and let her), she goes out the front door and waits on the sidewalk cause she knows she will get a treat!!
