    Messy (comfortable? ) gals and husbands who are great cooks! There should be a club.

    My husband is a fantastic cook. It is definitely one of his fortes (pronounced FORT not FOR-TAY, look it up in the dictionary as he would say ). I, mostly, just bake. I like to make cookies, cakes, and anything else that is pretty bad for you. He knows how to make some REAL food, though. Mmm.. Blackened chicken (*drool*), black eyed peas, corn bread, baked mac n cheese.... mmmm...

    forte [fawrt, fohrt or, for 1, fawr-tey] Both the one- and two-syllable pronunciations of forte are now considered standard.

    Heh, got it! I used to say for-tay and hubby would always say "It's fort! Foooort!" XDD

    I didn't know that about forte! I can't say I have ever heard someone pronounce it as fort...but, now, I can say when I do, I won't correct them!!
