Reggie you cannot expect the first siggies you make with a complicated program like photoshop that you don't know to be perfect. It has taken me a long time to get to where I am now. And still sometimes I have trouble with some pictures. You need to practice, practice and practice some more. Cropping is not easy but there is a trick I used to use when I was first cropping things. Because my edges were bad. I used to use the blur tool to soften the edged so the roughness wasn't evident and it didn't look bad. It would work quite well in most cases. Also maybe try practicing cropping on simple things to get the hang of it first. If you want to see some of the first siggies I did just PM me and I will show them too you.
