Toby, I went to mom and dad's house last night and I sat down by your grave to talk to you and Leroy came and visited with me. He was sitting on my lap for a while, then I got up to go in the house and Leroy stayed by yout grave, he laid next to you for quite a while. I went back out to check on him and bring him in the house for the night and I heard the neighbor practicing his bagpipes. He started playing Amazing Grace Oh I bawled my eyes out. It was so beautiful Toby.... I love you and miss you.
I started walking next door to Grama's house and passed your favorite spot, under the pine tree where we ended your pain. You fur was still on the ground from where they shaved your leg to give you the shot. I picked it up and put it in a plastic baggie for mom. I'll give it to her when she and dad comes home tomorrow night.
I must have been dreaming about you last night because in the middle of the night Buddy started barking at something and while I was still half asleep I yelled out "Toby.. hush up" Boy oh boy did THAT wake me up!!
