LOL, doesn't look that appetising, I admit, although I'm sure a bit of lemon juice and sugar would work wonders. It was the best pic I could find of what, to me, is a pancake. The ones you posted are far smaller and thicker than the ones we have over here. When I was searching for pancake pics, the American version came up the most. I'll have to get my mum to make pancakes one day, so I can post a better pic of a real pancake.

Randi, my grandma makes wonderful flapjack, I'm sure we have her recipe somewhere so I'll have a snoop in the kitchen cupboards. She says the trick is too make it not too chunky, otherwise the taste can become a bit monotonous after taking huge bites. She also recommends using golden syrup over honey, but I can't remember her reason for this. She's a pretty good cook (my little brother calls her a chef!) so I presume she knows what she's talking about.
