I imagine the folds of Chipper's neck would also trap moisture. Hot spots can be caused by a variety of things though. I have some hot spot spray from Petco I use for Nebo and it works pretty well. Hope Chipper gets feeling better soon!
He avoids water like the plague and I haven't bathed him recently, but I wondered if somehow moisture got trapped in those folds of skin. Dog's can't sweat, right?

We have some hot spot spray here, but the area looks so inflamed and irritated I worried it might sting. I'll see if that helps though.
