Hey! Those were awesome pictures..i love them! i would like to have a bunch of pictures taken with my horse someday..i only have one from a long time ago. I NEED PICTURES with kitty.
i look forward to seeing junior more often! he's verry beautiful, loverrrrly coat. i love the colors! almost like a pal color paint! what breed is he? i agree with Toby's my baby he looks about 14hh.
Also very well built lil pony. looks so calm too. i love a horse or pony for that matter that knows when to go and know's when to slow down.
..i'm not very familliar with jumping all that much..i know a tiny bit..i used to watch it on tv a lot and i used to do it with my old pony misty...she was 11.2hh. i didn't like it that much...i had a bad experience the first time anyway! lol. no biggy but i completely support every style of riding. i love horses so what kind of horseman would i be or should say horse woman would i be if i didn't support all types of horse sports! lol.
you take care i got to get going for now. give junior and obie an extra treet for me and have a blast riding.
^^ Oh I will!
Thanks for all the compliments on Junior's coat. I'll tell him on Friday :]
Hehe Junior is like the perfect mix of spazz and lazy. He's calm annd I can kick him, but he doesn't need constant urging, especially when we canter or jump. The only problem is he doesn't like to turn. We almost ran over IO when we were cantering. Oh well.
Also, he bites. Hard. I got a bruise on my stomach from when he bit me.
I've got story about the first time I rode him. I had heard stories about how mean he was, so I was afraid of him. Then I had to ride him. So I went to his stall, and he was LAYING DOWN! I was afraid to go in there, because I thought he would bite my head off or something. But I stood there staring at him for like 10 minutes. Finally, I realized that I had to do SOMETHING. So I grabbed a treat, opened the door, and started like calling hiss name. It made him get up, but he didn't turn around. So now I thought I would get kicked. Bu my dad was yelling at me to gethim out because we were running late, so I oopened the door and charged in. I ran up to his head and grabbed his haler. the whole time, he was juststanding there, staing at me like "are you retarded?" I got him out, and he managed to fit my hole wrist into his mouth. Like a bit. Ya, that was a great beginning. Afterthat, I rode Junior for like 5 weeks in a row, with a little joey or obie. Then I switched back to fridays, and I didn't ride him for over 6 months. And now I just gt to ride him. How great?

Hello!
one thing with a horse and biting you have to let them know that its wrong. kitty hawk used to bite when we first had her, she bit my mom (my mom has a really bad temper) and mom grabbed her by the halter and hit her in the lips, and yelled "how do you like it" needless to say that kitty never bit again, i don't think that you would have to go to that extreem with a horse but you have to let them know that its wrong somehow. That is only if you don't want a horse that bitesRhiszo bits a little bit and i've been getting after him. I had a horse that wouldn't turn once. she was a race horse. i hated it so much. She's the type of horse you need colected reins and a crop and you practice turning. when she didn't turn for me, i took the crop and hit her on the inside of the turn and i would just make her turn around about 30x and than if she didn't turn again i would make her do it again. after a while she learned that she wasn't going to get out of it. make sure that you have a loose rein on the outside of the turn and you have they're head facing the way that you want them to go. most of the time you can look between a horses ears and thats where they're going to go. (**most of the time, definately not all the time***) If you can maybe you could try that about the turns if the horses owner don't mind. I'll talk to you later and i hope that those hints helped.
About the biting. Your horse might be biting you out of some level of dis-respect, weather its a low level or high, **i think its a low level** just by where he doesn't turn he's not listening to you and not listening is disrespect. Its awesome that you have a great bond, but you can't let him push you around or he'll do it more. ***personal experience** you might have to use the back of your hand..its not abuse if its a correction, they're big animals and if they have domonince over you you'll be verry sore. anyway...some people may not agree with me, they may have other ideas that you can try aswell...just don't let the horse have controll over you . take care ttyl bbyes!

OMIGOSH!!!! I rode Junior...AGAIN! It was AMAZING!
I got a lot of pictures, pardon for the long post.
The big brown mare is IO, the small grey is Krystal, the bigger grey is Joey, and the buckskin paint is, as you know, Junior.
^^I was giving him a nice hair-do!
^^I love this one!
^^He's so pleased with himself

^^This was a good one for comparing height. And sorry about my earlier mis-calculations. He's right on the border between horse and pony, so I think he's like...14.2hh?
^^Two more action shots!
I might add more later.
There are more pictures.
But I'm tired of waiting.
For them to load.
Anyone want to critique?
If possible.
About me and Junior.
Thanks.

I agree don't let him bite you. He's showing no manners or respect when he dose that. Hit him on the lips it usually stops them after a while.Originally Posted by Beki
