Sorry for only replying now, things have been very hectic.
Melanie, Boerperde are wonderful horses. They were developed in South Africa from Friesians, Arabians and several other breeds. They are small, hardy horses, they are between 13.2hh- 15.1hh. There are a few who were 16hh. I've owned 4 Boerperde and loved them. Though not all of them were easy!! They can be quite hot! They compete in dressage, showjumping, eventing western riding, five gates and more! Here is a link to the SA Boerperd Society's website: http://www.saboerperd.com/

Pleasure! And yes a Boerperd is a breed. The R stands for Rand, R200 000 is a LOT![]()
