    WoW Freedom that is so neat about the male/female flower.. Even more neat that you can eat them.. Now do I have to pull the male flowers off to get baby pumpkins.. Or do I just water & of course get the grass & weeds pulled out?? Many Thanks for the great info..

    You are so lucky, i toosed my 4 big pumpkins out, but alas the chickens ate them! I guess this is why I ave a fenced in Garden!

    Yup there is where I was Lucky = the dogs didnt know what to do with them.. Then of course Mother Nature Helped right then with all the rain we got..

    He he, NO, you don't "have" to pick the male flowers to get the baby pumpkins.

    Weeding not necessary. A little dehydrated cow manure from your local garden shop for fertilizer, a few bees to do the pollinating thing, water, and voila!

    Yup I believe it's a pumpkin patch! The pumpkin grows where the flower is blooming. I think I would probably thin the plants out to just 2 or 3 so that you will have room for them to get the nutrition they need. Yay! You can carve your very own and know it is fresh
