WoW! So pretty! I love her! What is she crossed with? To me, she doesn't look at all like a clydesdale, the way she moves(I think its because she has no feathering) but i LOVE HER! wow only 5? So pretty! You need to post more pictures soon!

Amanda is crossed with a Boerperd and is about 16.3hh though I'm not sure of her exact hight, she has grown since those photos were taken in March! Will definately post more soon.

The braids were done by a proffesional (I cant plait like that, wish I could)*sigh* and were held by thread (needle and thread method).

I love seeing big horses being ridden so nicley. There was a pure Clyd at my old barn who used to do dressage it was so nice to watch.

Oh wow, I've only ever seen Boerperds in books. I'd love to see South Africa someday (maybe whilst riding a boerperd ).

Sorry for only replying now, things have been very hectic.

Melanie, Boerperde are wonderful horses. They were developed in South Africa from Friesians, Arabians and several other breeds. They are small, hardy horses, they are between 13.2hh- 15.1hh. There are a few who were 16hh. I've owned 4 Boerperde and loved them. Though not all of them were easy!! They can be quite hot!
