I am so sorry that Lady's condition is so dire. The next time you see
the Vet, would you please have the Dr. write down the name of her disease
or medical issue? What treatment is he/she going to be giving Lady?

Michelle, thank you. This picture is so beautiful. It means so much more to me then I think you can imagine. That picture made me cry, both tears of sadness and tears of appreciation to all of the PT members that have been her for Lady and myself.Originally Posted by kittycats_delight
I will be sure to get the info from him. I just wish he would call. I called already and he was still very busy. The lady said the results for the Parvo test won't be in till tomorrow. I just hope he calls me about Lady. I am just such a nervous reck.Originally Posted by lizbud
I try so hard not to get attached to these animals, but when you meet some"one" like Lady, it is hard not to. I do love her, dearly, and I want what is best for....whatever that may be.
Thank you everybody for your wonderful words. I will update once I get some answers.

I wonder if she has DIC - Disseminated intravascular coagulation.
I will keep Lady in my prayers for as long as needed.

That does sound familar. He said it so fast that I was not able to catch the medical name.Originally Posted by Grace
I was wondering if that was possible, since that was what they originally thought...they are even treating her for that. I just wish they would call.Originally Posted by cassiesmom

I just want to hear some good news about lady!
Thanks Jess for the great sig of my kids!
I love you baby, passed away 03/04/2008
I am so upset Tracy. I just got on the computer and I'm so sorry to see this. I'm fighting back the tears. All we can do now is to keep praying as hard as we can for this gentle soul. You've done all you can do for her. Bless you. It's in God's hands now. I can only hope that she'll be okay but if she has to go to the bridge, let it be a safe, swift journey. We love you Lady!!! You gave her the only chance she had for a few good days in her life. If she has to leave us, she'll leave her legacy. Her beautiful little pups will remind us of her.
PLEASE GET WELL LADY!!! You're such a fighter and a survivor girl. We just need one more PT miracle for this sweetheart

Gary: Can you get the Found Cat Angels to look after Lady?
I've been Boo'd...
Thanks Barry!
The vet called, but I was putting my boys' to bed and missed the call. He left a message. He said Lady is doing well. Her blood count is a little lower then earlier (it was 24 this morning, but he did not give me a number of what it is now), but he thinks that is due to the IV fluids she has been getting. He said he will call me before 9:30 am tomorrow and talk to me about her. He also said the Parvo test came back negative. So that is a bit of good news.
I want to take a minute to say thank you everybody. This is very hard. But whatever the outcome is, I want everybody to know how appreciative I am of all of you. You have really helped me through this. If it is Lady's time to leave this world, I will miss her deeply, but I will know she left with a heart filled with love and was loved emensely (sorry for my spelling) in return. Her pups will grow on and thrive because her selflessness. They will grow strong and she will watch over them from the Rainbow Bridge, and she will be with my childhood dogs and they will show her around and give her love and plenty of BONES!! I pray that god will make his decision on her soon and not let her suffer anymore. I would love to see her here with me again and better, but I can not be selfish...she never was. Whatever the next days bring...I am prepared. Deep inside my heart I feel as if it is over. That may be grim to some of you, but there is a reason. You see, Lady never kisses on the face...only the hand. When I said my good bye to her she gave me a small kiss on the chin. Whether it was her just licking her lips or if she meant to kiss me, I will never know. But for some reason I feel like she was saying good bye to me as well. I walked out of the vet's office feeling like that was the last time I would see her.
I am sorry if I am depressing you guys, I just needed to tell that to somebody. I know you will understand and support me. Dave is great, but he doesn't understand, if he does he is not good at showing it. Thanks for listening. I hope my feeling are wrong. I will post an update after I hear from the vet tomorrow. Thank you again PT.
