I just sent one of the babies to the bridge.I have been trying to handfeed, but the little fellow didn't eat much and even with Roger and Milly feeding him, he couldn't lift his head to help them at all. He was underdeveloped and both legs were splayed, not just one. We didn't see that until today. Thank goodness for Dr. Robinson, who is not a bird vet, but was willing to give him the small injection to relieve his suffering. Dr. Fernandez, who I have used for my birds, didn't have any afternoon appointments and I knew what needed to happen without seeing him, anyway.
Such a sad, sad thing.
On a positive note, the remaining 4 babies are doing great, bless their hearts.I will get pictures, soon, I promise.
