My hubby had a Wolf/Shepard mix, named Tiko, she was a great dog, and lived till she was 15yrs old. Hubby got her while he was on active duty, they were going to put her down, and she was only 3 months old, so he rescued her, and brought her home. Tiko was such a Calm dog, was great with people especially with kids. She was however one of those dogs, who you had to keep on a very short lead, cause she had a huge prey drive. She once got loose from hubby, and came home carrying a Fawn!Thankfully the baby was okay, and she was sent to a wildlife rehab, and was later realeased. But other than that, she was awsome! she was put down 4 years ago due to cancer. Hubby loved that dog.
