I'm sorry for your loss Kimmy. My last grandparent (that I knew) died when I was in 6th grade.

    RIP Grandma.

Oh Kimmy, I am so sorry. She is a lovely lady and I know she cherished every moment she had with her family. What a wonderful picture of you and Andy and your two grandmothers. I hope you have a copy framed somewhere in your home. That is a wonderful thing to cherish.

I was fortunate to know all 4 of my grandparents and we lost our last one at the age of 93 in 2000, my mom's mom. But I have wonderful memories of all 4 of them. I hope that in time you can sit back and remember her with joy.

Thanks everyone. A friend and neighbor of my parents is bringing over a casserole and we're all getting together for dinner.

I again feel very lucky to have known my grandparents (I had three sets - Dad's parents divorced and remarried). Andy never knew his. They passed away when he was a child.

Also, say a prayer for my sister Linn and her husband Nick. Nick's dad has throat cancer and they just found more tumors and a biopsy showed it was aggressive. They give him between 2 days and 6 months.

I am so sorry on your loss, Kimmy. You and your family will be in my prayers. Pat, I was just about to say the same thing, it is so nice that she was able to take part in your wedding, I am sure that meant a lot to her.

So sorry for the loss of your grandmother. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

    Thanks again guys.

The visitation went well. My mom did grandma's hair and makeup and she looked good.

Can you believe that just last night someone vandalized the funeral home's AC equipment to steal the copper?

It was a little warm (hit 85 degrees today), but they had brought in portable units and by time the second visitation rolled around, they had brand new AC units installed.

Dad's doing well, however, Nick's dad is not doing so well. Lots of prayers needed for his family.
