Did Dad and Muskwa get to The Mine in good shape?

Hope ALL you guys sorta "straighten up & fly right" while Dad's gone and
Mom has to run the Husky Ranch by herself ...
This would be a great time to show off as "GOOD Dawgs".

What great fun you all had!! Tehya, you're such a fun loving girl!! Mom has a busy job doesn't she? Try to help her as much as you can. With all those doggies, she might need some help.

I can't believe you still have that much snow on the ground!!
It feels like 100 degrees here

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!

We assume so. No news is good news at this point. There's no cell service out there and there is some problem with the satelitte phone. Globalstar apparently doesn't get reception in that valley! I don't except to hear from him very often, if at all, unless something goes wrong.

That will work if someone is driving out of the camp to somewhere with mail service! It's way off the road, no mail delivery.

The lack of cell service isn't unusual up here. There are places in Downtown Whitehorse where my cell phone won't work! The sat phone is unusual. Those things are supposed to work anywhere. The mine owner is trying to resolve that issue! There is a radio phone out there for emergencies. You can't really talk on those things--first they are annoying and second everyone else who has a radio phone(and there are alot of them here) can hear every word you say!

Sounds like a place for a Monk to build a Monastery!

How long a drive is it for him to come home for a visit?

Doesn't quite sound like a place for YOU to "visit" ...
summa the "natives" might become restless.

    Hey -
Have you considered a couple Flocks of Carrier Pigeons?
Yours fly to the mine; his fly home.

Once they get to the road, it's about a four hour drive. Probably six hours in total. He's supposed to be home for five days out of every 30, but I"m not holding my breath. They are already a month behind schedule.

There's no way I could go visit--no one to take of the doggers! FIL would see that they got fed and the basics done in a dire emergency, but it's alot of work for him and he has his own dog who doesn't like my dogs to take care of!

Great pics and story as usual Tamara.
So that means if Stuart has my Muskwa, there are no pictures of him for awhile?

As for not listening to you while Stuart is gone, HA, doesn't he realise what side his bread is buttered on ????

Take care out there Miner Stuart!!
    You take care too, Tamara.
