Agreed. If the dog can get to the edge of the table and jump completely off with the noose around it's neck, the noose pole is way too low anyway, therefore not being used properly at all. The purpose of the noose and pole is to keep the dog from being able to get to the edge of the table, and keep it from being able to jump off. It is definately safer.

I, too, have never seen a single injury caused by a grooming noose in my 12 years of grooming. I have heard, however, of plenty of dogs injuring themselves jumping off grooming tables or out of raised tubs where they weren't restrained. (Not at my shop, knock on wood!)
