Just a quick note to let you know that I'm thinking of you and praying that your doctors can find the answer to why you feel so awful. Right now I'm going through a series of tests so I know how frustrating and scary this waiting thing can be. Please let us know how everything works out for you? Groucho is sending you lots of feel better headbumpies, purrs, and kitty kisses.

Waiting can be maddening but look at the delay as working in your favor, if you can. Healthy thoughts sent your way.
Blessings,
Mary

What's the latest, have they scheduled your scans yet? I'm looking at the calendar - the 17th was a week ago yesterday. How are you feeling? I hope you're better and they can get you in soon. [hug]Originally Posted by K & L

Thanks everyone! They just called late this afternoon and I'm scheduled to go in Friday morning for the cat scan, and not until 05/15 for the ultra sound on my legs. Since they're suspecting a possibility of blood clots they are doing the ultra sound. That's the soonest they could get me in for that. I appreciate all your well wishes and I will update everyone when I hear something.
Avon's test came back just fine so they gave her a shot for inflammation and she hasn't thrown up in days. They may want to put her on a low dose of steroids just to ensure the inflammation does not flare back up.
Now lets hope my tests come back as well! Again THANK YOU!!

I'd go through the ER for the ultra sound on your legs. It they suspect blood clots in your legs that is nothing to fool with because those could travel up the body and kill you. I cant believe they are making you wait until 5/15 if they suspect clots.Originally Posted by K & L
My hubby's brother ended up with clots in his legs this winter, landed in hospital for several days. Came within hours of dieing if they hadnt treated him. That's why I get little excited when blood clot in legs is mentioned.
Will keep good thoughts and prayers.

Aargh, that's not good. Here is my suggestion, I'm an insurance nurse. Call your physician's office in the morning and tell them you are on Friday's schedule for the CT scan of your chest, but the hospital can't schedule you for the ultrasound of your legs until May 15. And can your doctor intervene to get the test on your legs done on Friday as well. Maybe, if your doctor makes some noise, the hospital will get you in for the ultrasound on your legs on Friday, since you'll be over there for the CT scan already. One thing I have learned in the insurance world is that if you want to be the wheel that gets the oil, you have to squeak.Originally Posted by K & L

Lisa, I am so glad that the worries about Avon are off your chest.
But with your own health- I agree it is so hard to wait.
Keeping all my fingers crossed they find something they can treat easily.
Hi, just a quick note to let you know that you're still very much in my thoughts and prayers! I hope your tests went well and you'll have some solid answers very soon. How are you feeling?

Then they noticed my ultra sound appointment and said they would call me right back. 5 minutes later she said to be at the place today at 2:00 p.m. and then they want a consultation with me when they get these results. All the rushing here has me a bit concerned. I’m still in hopes it is nothing and they are being precautionary here. I will update you all as soon as I hear. Again thank you!

Lisa, I sure hope that everything will go well. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Please update us when you can and take care. (((HUGS)))
Lisa, just get the test today at 2 over with. At this point, you should be hearing results from the doctor before the end of this week. So the wait is coming to a close. Thinking of you and praying for good test results and a fast reply from the doctors.

Lisa, I'm so sorry I have not responded to this thread until now. I don't get much PT time at work anymore and my spare time is taken up...well, never mind about that.
Waiting is the scary part but if they want to rush you in just go for it and get all the tests done with. At least you will know what the problem is, if there is a problem.
Big {{{hugs}}} on the way. We are here with you every step of the way.
