It could be that Bobo's hearing an eyesight are impaired, seeing that he's 15. Try putting nightlights up. I would also have him checked out by a vet just in case there is something else medical going on.

Hey Thanks everyone for the help, now that you mention, I also think a vet check is in order. The only problem is that I wouldn't be able to for another 1 and a half weeks because of my payday But I will do whatever I can for him.

And I've never heard of those antibiotics you mentioned Catty 1, where can I get them? I would definately try them if I could get them

Sadly I don't think nightlights would be the problem, we always have a kitchen light on all night, so everyone can see when they need to go to the bathroom. I have this feeling that it could possibly urinary infection, because something is definately keeping him frisky and awake all night, he just can't seem to settle down.

He seems to want to settle down, but then again he doesn't, he tries for five minutes and then gets back up and then comes back and so on.

Any more advice can keep coming, I'm open to anything to help my Bobo, but all your advice so far is great, I'm going to have to schedule him a check up.

OKay, good news! I scheduled a vet check for him. He is going in next Saturday, May 12 to get a check up. I described it to the vet as well and she also said that it sounds like a urinary infection. So tonight I am putting the litter into my room and I'm going to watch him and see if he is always going to the litter when he gets up.

I hope they don't tell me he should be put down just because he's 15

Today is his 15th birthday and we are going to celebrate it tonight

If it is a UTI, he should get to the vet ASAP. Would your vet take a post-dated check from you?

I am surprised she is willing to wait that long.

The drugs I mentioned you get from your vet. My Oscar was on Clavamox for his UTI.

Would she let you just pay for the meds for now and start Bobo on them? There's a chance you all might get some sleep sooner than you think.

Don't worry - a urine infection is no reason to have Bobo PTS.

I guess the vet didn't see it as an emergency. He's been doing it for a few weeks already, so maybe that's why she didn't see it as an emergency. I called the vet to ask if they took post-dated checks but they don't even take checks. I figured they wouldn't, I live in such a small rural area that we don't even have emergency vets around here.

I think Bobo will be okay until next Saturday, it just means we might not get much sleep for awhile lol. Unfortunately. But the vet did say to watch him tonight to see if he is actually using or going to the litterbox whenever he gets up. So I'm going to put it in my room and that way I can watch him and see if it possibly is the Urinary infection.

I think putting the litter box in your room is a good idea, so you can watch him. Also - maybe he won't wander and howl as much! (Won't do much for your sleep, but your dad might be relieved! )

    Get well soon, Bobo!

Haha yes, the main thing is that Dad won't get woken up lol. Poor Bobo, I'm glad he has me in the house that loves him like no other He slept all night with me the other night, but I don't know if he got up to use the litter, I sleep really good lol. But I'll find out on Saturday if he has UTI or not.

Hopefully he doesn't, drugs and antibiotics can be so expensive.
