Aggresive Cat--Pls Help

How old is this kitty? How long have you had him? Neutered or not? Have you tried keeping a spray bottle (of water) handy to give him a spritz when he does this?

Is the " yowling " female spayed??? That might be bothering him....

Hello,
This is a 4.5 year old neutered male. He's been neutered since he was about 9months old.
My female cat is spayed and has been spayed since before we adopted her.

The spray bottle is a good idea, but he high-tails it across the room after he bites me.
He also violently attacks our female cat any time she appears to be in pain/yowls. She only yowls when we pick her up which is very rarely. She's a rescued kitty and is very shy and is only picked up when it's absolutely necessary (maybe 1 time every 3 or 4 months.)
We've had her about 1.5 years.
