I just want to kiss her on that beautiful snout. She's gorgeous.

I know you must be walking on pins and needles, Jess. I'm glad her first checkup came out on a positive note. We'll keep praying and lighting those candles for Raven. We won't stop until 20 years have passed. All we can do is hope for nothing but perfect vet visits from here on out Please give Raven and the T's some kisses from me. Hugs to all of you too.

    I've been Boo'd...
    Thanks Barry!

I'm so glad to hear the check-up went well! I'm sure future vet visits will, too, and Raven will always be in our thoughts. While it's too soon to tell, I know she will beat this entirely!

I am so glad the vet visit went well. All we can do from here on is take it one vet visit at a time. I seem to think all is and will be fine. Raven looks to full of life for any other outcome.
You and Raven will still be in my thoughts each and every day.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Raven, I'd like to reach in and love on you! Tasha and Tommy, also. Your mouth looks to me like it's healing. I'm glad you don't need pain medicine anymore. It's Wednesday afternoon, heading toward Friday, re-check day. I hope you get a good report from the doctor. Could you please ask your mom to give you this, from me? - hug I will light a new virtual candle for you.

    Looking BETTER!

For so many days I was not sure if that bit of swelling and reddened tissue on the edge of the wound margin would begin to grow and look cancerous (the way it happened after her first surgery) or if it would go down and improve. I felt it would probably happen one way or another this week, so I have been watching it like a hawk with my heart hammering every time I looked. Well yesterday it finally seemed to turn a corner.. for the better! I am feeling more (cautiously) optimistic finally. If the vet is pleased with tomorrow's check I will feel even better. I will attach a photo from April 30 (Monday) when it was reddened and more swollen and I was so worried about it, and then the shots I got yesterday where it is definitely improved! The 'stuff' in the wound are the sutures dissolving and losing their color, it looks a bit like hair or plastic stuck there but it is the sutures dissolving. Feeling so much more hopeful now!
