Loki you would have won me over too!! One look at those adorable puppy eyes and then some puppy kisses - - well you would have been going home with me too. My husband also said "no more dogs" after our last poodle went to the RB in 1998. I lasted three years as a dogless person but my cravings grew. Then one day in 2001 I called him from a breeder I was visiting on the sly and asked him if I might bring home a puppy and he said "yes." That said, I totally related to your story.
