Royal Canin dog food recalled

I sent an email to Chicken Soup, here was their reply:

Diamond Pet Foods has private label accounts. Natural Balance is one of
these accounts. Natural Balance has recalled 2 of their formulas that
are manufactured by Diamond. These formulas contain rice protein
concentrate. No other products manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods
contain this ingredient. It is a separate ingredient from white rice,
brown rice, brewer's rice, rice bran and rice flour.

We do not import any ingredients from China. None of our grains are
imported from China. We buy all of our ingredients from US companies.
We have requested that all of these companies provide us with letters of
origin for each ingredient that we use in our products. The corn gluten
that is currently under question is from Africa. And besides...Chicken
Soup is corn-free.

Ahh good thanks for posting that, I'm glad to hear. I know that the rice bought for the Natural Balance was bought from a US source, that brought it in from China, but it looks like they are checking out that option to be safe. Thanks for posting.

I JUST switched my cats to Royal Canin thinking I would be safe . Good thing it's not that kind. Maybe everyone should just start feeding raw.
