Do you arrive in MI on Sunday? We could drive down and have lunch/dinner.
Andy's folks live in Auburn Hills so it'd be a good excuse to visit them since we'd be in the area.
PM with more details.![]()

OMG! she is so beautiful!!!
Does she use a dummy (pacifier?) - sucking on it during take off and landing might help with any pressure problems

Tyler has done LOTS of traveling and our miracle fix was.... MEAt her age if you nurse her during takeoff and landing she shouldn't have any problems with the cabin pressure changing. Tyler was kind enough to sleep through MOST of the 12 hour flight from Tokyo to the states when he was 4 months old so she should be a real trooper for you
If she just doesn't want to wake up for you during takeoff or landing you can also blow a gentle but firm puff of air right in her face to make her swallow. That also equalizes the pressure in her little ears so that she doesn't feel any discomfortI still use that trick when Tyler doesn't want to swallow his liquid medicines
Squirt it in his mouth and blow in his face and it's all over

I really wish she would take to a pacifier but she refuses them. I gently put one in her mouth and she gags. Her pediatrician said if she won't take to a pacifier now, she probably won't ever. I still try daily, but she just hates it. I don't try more then 1 or 2 tries.Originally Posted by Brody's Mum
I'll see if I can't get her nursing during takeoff and landing. That might help hopefully, unless she's asleep, then I'll just let her sleep.
Thanks for the nice comments![]()
If she is asleep she still needs to get her ears to pop!! If she doesn't suck on something she will wake up a very unhappy little girlI learned that lesson on one flight when Tyler and I were both sleeping during landing

Thankfully the crying did manage to pop his ears pretty quickly![]()

Have a wonderful and comfortable first flight beautiful little girl!
Leslie,
I would find out all about that layover in Chicago that I could. When Jasmine was born, Christy and Brian lived in Ft. Hood, TX. I flew from Toledo to Chicato and then to Dallas and then to Killeen. But in Chicago I had to change terminals which meant riding an underground station to a bus station and the bus to the other terminal down the road a piece. It was a major pain in the butt because I had too much carry on luggage. Also on the way back I had to stand on the bus and I couldn't reach the overhead rail. It was not fun to say the least. So be prepared and check out whatever you can! It will make the trip much more enjoyable!
The pictures of Quinn are great. She is definitely a little cutie. I loved the bunny outfit with the slippers too. I hope you have a great visit back in Michigan. I assume you are taking her to see your parents. Have they been able to come see her yet? Or will this be the first time see their little grand daughter? I am sure it will be a great time either way. Have fun!
