It is already hard enough to determine if what we buy is what we think it is. Make whatever you want to make, just don't call it chocolate. I submitted the objection to any changes.

Done! I told them that the U.S. chocolate was already "dumbed down" from European chocolate, so don't make it any worse.

I responded, too. Actually, I don't usually eat chocolate but I'm opposed to the degradation of the quality and nutritional value of U.S. food...even if it's a snack. (Of course, to some people, it's a major food group.

I went on a chocolate tasting/making course with a group of girls last year and I was horrified to find out that the famous Cadbury's chocolate (not sure if you have it in America etc), is made with vegetable oil instead of cocoa butter. Apparantly quite a lot of chocolatiers subsitute the cocoa butter as they can then sell it to beauty companies for their face creams etc for a profit.
