Has your vet given him anything to help him breathe a little better? If it's aggravating to you, it probably is to your cat, too.

I'm sorry to hear this. Does he have this year round or is it seasonal? He may have allergies and just have a stuffy nose. If so you could try putting him in the bathroom while running a hot shower, using a vaporizer, or using little noses pediatric nose drops. Some people also give their cats chlortimeton allergy tablets.
My Sky will also occasionally have this problem. His nose whistles too and his is most likely seasonal allergies. He'll also sometimes have sneezing attacks. I've tried giving him allergy medicine before and it seems to help. Good luck.![]()
Thank you so much, krazyaboutkatz!
Those are really good ideas; I think I might try some of them.
Gato's allergies are year-round; even though they're pretty annoying to me, I can't tell if they bother him or if he even notices them. The hot shower idea would probably work, as he usually sits in the bathroom while I take a shower anyway. But I think the vaporizer or the nose drops would just freak him out 'cause he really doesn't like to be handled.
Apparently, he's had this problem all his life, and nothing seems to make it go away.Oh well...
Anyway, thanks again for the suggestions!![]()
