A bit of useless trivia here.....the Roman soldiers carried a sea sponge tied onto a piece of wood, and they would use that. Too bad if there was no water around to wash the sponge after....eh ????

I'm pretty much happy when we have toilet paper, and I'm thrilled when someone else actually takes the 14 seconds required to put a new roll in the holder instead of setting the new roll on top of the empty one. Which way it comes off the roll is of no consequence to me at all.

I don't care. If I change the roll I put it on whatever way I happen to be holding it when I grab it out of the cupboard. My boyfriend must have it over the top though so sometimes when I'm feeling mischevious I'll put it on the "wrong way" to bug him.

I voted other. I really do like it over the top, however, since Lacey came into the house, it is on top alright, on top of the medicine cabinet. Just remember to grab it 'before' you sit down.
