I had an 1986 Cavalier hatchback that to start it, you had to:
1st - Put the key in the ignition and turn it to "on".
2nd - Flip a toggle switch on the dash board (that had been installed by my dad)
3rd - Push a button on the dash (also installed by my dad)

Varooom...then it started up and purred like a kitten!

My first car was a 1968 Ford Fairlane. Nice looking car and it ran good, but it had some electrical problems. I could turn on the parking lights, turn on the left (it had to be the LEFT turn signal!) turn signal and the radio would turn on and play without the key being in the ignition! Interesting car!

Mine was my 98 chevy S10 that I just traded in. It was my first car so I did love it, but the upkeep sure was expensive! The car ate batteries like crazy. In the 7 years I drove it I think I replaced 5 batteries! It always felt like there was something wrong with it, one day it was fine and then the next it shook on the road. So something always needed to be done to it, nothing major but I was always doing little things, spark plugs, fuel injector flush, serpentine belt replacement.... the windsheild wipers didn't work, sometimes if I got out of the car and gave them a push start they would work but then it would decide to stop working again right in the center of my windsheild to block my view. The final straw was when the radiator blew and caused a leak in my head gasket. For a car that only had 86,000 miles on it I was sick of all the problems.
    I've been Defrosted!

Thanks for the great signature Kay!

Isn't it great to have a new car where everything works! Of course everything worked on my old car too, until that idiot ran the red light and broadsided me, totaling it.

The worst cars I've ever owned were Fords. The last was a Ford Escort.

I switched to Chev & Pontiac and lastly Toyotas. Toyotas are one of the very
    best cars made.

I forgot the worst part about my old truck. The a/c didn't work, try driving in the middle of an Az summer without a/c. In the summer I drove to work and home and that was it until 8 p.m. when it was cool enough to go out.

Toyotas are one of the very best cars made.
That's why my new car is a toyota I'm looking forward to trouble free driving

Totally agree! Our family has had several Toyotas and we loved them all. I think that Toyota boasts best consumer loyalty or something to that effect and I believe they are right.

I have a Honda CRV now (my second) but to be honest each time I considered the Toyota RAV-4. There was just a little *something extra* about the CRV that grabbed me each time.

My worst car was a Chevy Corvair. Actually it was the first car hubby bought after we got married. Probably very few people here even remember the Chevy Corvair. We often had puffs of smoke come out from under the dashboard as we'd drive down the road. Never did find out where that all came from because we traded it in quickly. LOL!

That's a tie, probably, between the Ford Escort and the Jeep Laredo. We were starving college students, and had the vehicles to prove it!

When I got a job offer my senior year in college, the FIRST thing I did was sell that Escort and order a custom Mazda Miata. Ooooh, how I loved that car!

I had this 1984 Subaru which gave me transmission trouble, nonstop. I'm reluctant to ever get another Subaru.
