    Awww he's beautiful,

Do you know the life span of a pekin duck?

I read it's around 7 to 15 years old, one lady has one at 9 years old.

    Hey Arganade,

Is that the kind your baby ducks are--pekins?
I use to have one and got her as a baby at a Tradeday about an hour away. She was precious but after having her for 3 days I found out she had an infection, but I was fortunate enough to get her some med. and she got healthy and got ok.

I had her about 9 months.... Her name was Apple-- (you can see her in the background in Rain's picture that I sent) The infection came back and we got more meds. but they didn't help. She must have always had some of the infec. in her from when she was a baby and just never got rid of it She died at only 9 mon old--way too young for her to die--she still had so much life in her--she was so sweet and free spirited.

But, I think they usually live around 5-10 yrs at the most if they are well cared for and don't get sick or anything. Nine years is a really good age for one--her duck must have been real healthy all its life...
