Your allowed to own them I ''THINK'' with a licence, I have seen many people have them as pets and many people know this auction buys and sells them.

Yes you have to have a a permit to buy them, but if you sell them you must get a license.

Hmmmm... neat... I'll have to look into that when I get some time... I know with Axle, the law states you can own a Snapping turtle, but there are rules.. you cannot buy or sell them.. once you have it as a pet, your stuck with it for life (I'm NOT complaining, I love him)... You can only own one & you cannot breed it.

Snapping turtles fall under the wild game animals act (like deer... tiss very complicated & confusing:S)... Some cities ban snappers as pets, like the one I live in But I've been told by the city, not to worry about it, cause I've had him since he was a hatchling & he'll be 8 this year.. + I origionally had him in a city that allowed them... so all is well.. unless he causes problems, (like eats someone cat or bites someone...) but that cannot happen cause he lives in my bedroom

They are beautiful animals; I use to have one. We had him a year and he flew away next door to live with some other wild C. Geese. They fly around the neighborhood here all the time. I have no idea which one he is (his name is Rain ) since they all favor soooo much, but he must be happy because he never decided to come back home.

The only thing about him was he wasn't ever as tame as my ducks. He was always very cautious and wouldn't let you touch him at all. But they are gorgeous

Do you know the life span of a pekin duck?

I read it's around 7 to 15 years old, one lady has one at 9 years old.
