I couldn't agree with you more!! When the incident occurred months ago, and I involved our Senior Lead Police Officer, he responded only because he is in charge of our neighborhood.
He made it clear that this was not a police matter, but he was only responding to our concerns. He referred me to the Animal Control. When I called Animal Control, I was firmly told that I should never have become involved. The only thing that can be done is by the person that was attacked directly with the owner of the dog that attacked.
When I became involved two dogs were being viciously attacked by the Gindo. The two dogs were on leashes being walked by a Hispanic housekeeper. I was a maniac, but got the attacking dog away from them and went directly to the owner's home.
Trust me.......they could have cared less!! It was at this point that I called the police and Animal Control.
We are talking about having a petition signed by all of the neighbors to deliver to the owners of the Gindo.
