I don't think anyone on PT will be surprised to hear that I love my Groucho more than words can express and will do ANYTHING to ensure his happiness, health, and safety. In spite of checking the recall list every day, I now worry about what's going into his tummy. And I worry for all the PT cats as well as their owners who are probably feeling the same apprehension.
In an earlier news report it was said that healthy cats started getting sick and started dying during Menu's taste tests. That in itself is disturbing, how long did Menu know about this?
For those owners who have lost their companions there is no compensation. Filing a class action just might be the way to initiate changes in how pet food is processed. Something has to change! And those of us owned and loved by our cats deserve straight, honest answers about how something like this could happen and exactly what will be done to guarantee this will never happen again. It's up to us to demand a thorough impartial investigation and straight answers from those responsible.
