Awww....poor chickens!! If I lived closer I would scoop them up in a heartbeat!! That hen looks like a Barred Rock hen, I have one of those. One of mine died last year, so would love to get another!

Poor Chicken Babies I don't understand why these people would favor 16 and 1 and not the rest, its cruel and the exact reason why there are poor animals homeless on the streets these days. I hope you can do something to help them, or that these owners of them will do something (although I highly doubt it) I can understand why you wouldn't want the eggs to hatch though. Keep us updated on how these little chickens are.

My friend has a silkie chicken... The other two were killed by a racoon, even though she does SO much to prevent this from occuring... She was going to get more chickies, but Moca likes being an only chicken... My friend wants to get mocha a fertile egg((for she is a good nest chickie)) and have her raise it, for she thinks she'd enjoy it
